You will not find a cooler lamp for a gear head / car enthusiast! Great conversation starter for the mancave.
Parts used: Brake master cylinder, cross-drilled brake rotor, stainless steel braided brake hoses, laser-cut & TIG welded stainless steel plates (post), and an automotive air filter for the shade.
I MIG and TIG weld the parts together. The post is made from stainless steel and is left in a brushed finish, since stainless does not rust. (Most of the pics show it black, which is optional but we normally leave it bare).
The master cylinder is painted black for a clean look, and the rotor base is powdercoated bright silver.
Be careful though, some of the edges may be sharp, and the lamp is a bit heavy so handle with care!
The lamp comes assembled- all you need to do is install the shade and bulb, then plug it in!
